皆様 ユビキタスに収斂する技術(と訳せばいいのでしょうか?)の国際会議のCFPです. Springer LNCSから会議録が出版されます. ===BEGIN CFP======================================================= Call for Papers ICUCT-2006 International Conference on Ubiquitous Convergence Technology (U-Cars/Home/City, U-RFID/Sensors/Chips, U-Security, U-Health) 7-9 December 2006 The Hotel Shilla, Jeju, Korea http://www.icuct.org Invitation to ICUCT-2006 ICUCT 2006, the first International Conference on Ubiquitous Convergence Technology, will be held in Jeju, Korea, from 7th to 9th December 2006. It will be hosted by the Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea (IEEK) to celebrate their 60th anniversary. ICUCT will thereafter be held annually as one of the leading international venues for research in ubiquitous convergence technology. Conference Themes We invite you to submit original, high-quality research contributions. You are invited to submit a full paper of no more than 10 pages for oral presentation or a proposal to organize a technical session or workshop. All submitted papers will be refereed by at least three reviewers. Contributions on all topics related to ubiquitous convergence technology are welcome, including: * Research and development roadmap and market forecasting of ubiquitous convergence * Technologies for U-Multimedia (Audio, Video, Media Streaming) * RFID tags, protocols, security, and applications * Possible application scenarios for U-Health, U-Car, U-Sports, U-Home, U-Factory, U-City, etc. * Smart sensors and sensor networks for ubiquitous convergence * Tools and techniques for designing, implementing, & evaluating ubiquitous convergence * Mobile, wireless, and ad hoc networking infrastructures for ubiquitous convergence * User-friendly human-interface for convergence * Location-aware and context-based systems for ubiquitous convergence * Privacy, security, and trust in ubiquitous and pervasive systems * Legal and social issues pertaining to ubiquitous convergence Instructions for Authors The ICUCT-2006 proceedings will be published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Technical papers for ICUCT-2006 must include an abstract of 100-150 words and must not exceed 10 pages, though we explicitly welcome shorter papers. The papers must be submitted as camera-ready pdf and formatted according to the rules of LNCS. Accepted papers will also have to be supplied as LaTeX source. For formatting information and templates, see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Paper submission implies the intention of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. Papers must be submitted electronically: please refer to the web site. Papers must be unpublished and not being considered elsewhere for publication. Accepted papers will only be included in the proceedings if at least one of the co-authors registers for the conference and gives the corresponding presentation. Pre-proceedings will be issued at the conference. Authors will have a chance to revise their paper based on audience feedback before the final LNCS post-proceedings are printed. About Jeju Island Jeju Island, known as the Hawaii of Korea, off the south coast of the country, is a favourite holiday destination. Scenic beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves lie in harmony, and the mild weather makes Jeju an ideal tourist destination. Jeju Island is a volcanic island dominated by the highest mountain in South Korea which is 1,950 meters high. The island was created entirely from volcanic eruptions hundreds of millions of years ago, and consists chiefly of basalt and lava. It has a subtropical climate, warmer than the rest of Korea, with four distinct seasons. Half of the summer is rainy, and the winter is fairly dry.
