========================================================================== The 2007 International Workshop on Application and Security service in Web and pervAsive eNvirionments (ASWAN ’07) June 16-18, 2007, HuangShan(Yellow Mountains), China http://www.chu.edu.tw/~aswan07 to be held in conjunction with The Joint International Conference on APWeb and WAIM 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- == Scope == Web and Pervasive Environments (WPE) are emerging rapidly as an exciting new paradigm including ubiquitous, web, grid, ubiquitous and peer-to-peer computing to provide computing and communication services any time and anywhere. But in order to realize their advantages, it requires the security services and applications to be suitable for WPE. If they are realized, a user will be able to remotely access and control all information and web appliances in the workplace as well as at home and office, and easily and conveniently use various services to enable working from home, remote education, remote diagnosis, virtual shopping, network gaming, and portal & high quality VOD with no limitations on space and time. Our workshop is intended to foster the dissemination of state-of-the-art research in the area of secure WPE including security models, security systems and application services, and novel security applications associated with its utilization. Also, this workshop offers the possibility to discuss protocols and protocol characteristics with those people that are using them for solving their scientific problems. Developers are able to show their products (or research prototypes) to potential users, while users can pose their request to Developers. In this workshop issue, we plan to publish high quality papers, which cover the various security theories and practical applications of security. The published papers are expected to present the high level results to solve the application services and various problems in the various WPE fields. We expect they will trigger further related research and technology improvements in security for WPE. ==Topics (included, but are not limited to)== * Web and Pervasive Environment Application - Web and Pervasive Environment (WPE) applications - Web and Pervasive Environment models - WPE business and other application - Data Management for WPE - Spatio-Temporal Database for WPE - Mobile Data Management for WPE - Embedded Database for WPE * Web and Pervasive Security - Security web-based collaboration applications and services - Model for secure web services - Wireless sensor networks / RFID application and security for web and Pervasive Environment - Intelligent multimedia security services (DRM, IPMP, etc.) - Key management and authentication in WPE - Network security issues and protocols in WPE - Access and privacy control in WPE - Commercial and industrial application and security model in WPE - Forensic and Privacy Protection in WPE == Organization == * Steering Chair Laurence T. The submission of contributions to ASWAN '07 occurs through only ASWAN07 paper submission system. Paper must be prepared with PDF. See http://www.spring-er.de/comp/lncs/authors.html for formatting information. Submissions must not exceed 10 pages, including tables and figures, with only PDF. Submission of a paper implies that should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and present the paper in the conference. ** Proceedings All papers will be peer reviewed. Accepted papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in the conference proceedings in Lecture Notes in Computer Science series (Pending). The proceedings will be available at the conference. At least one author of an accepted paper must register at the conference site and present the paper at the workshop. ** Contact For further information regarding the special session and paper submission, please contact ASWAN '07 Cyber-chair at aswan07cyberchair [at] gmail.com
