The Int'l Workshop on Data-Mining and Statistical Science (DMSS2008)
http://sigdmsm.org/dmss2008/

We are pleased to announce the program of the DMSS2008, including three
invited talks and sixteen regular presentations. We are looking forward
your participation and exciting discussion at the DMSS2008.

Date: September 25-26, 2008
Location: Tokyo Institute of Technology
O-okayama Campus, South Bldg. 2, Room S222
(Building #31 in the map below)
http://www.titech.ac.jp/access-and-campusmap/e/o-okayamaO.html

Workshop Scope:
Analyzing a wide variety of massive-scale complex data is the central
and challenging issue in the data mining community since the Internet
allows us to access such data in a fast and inexpensive manner. The
purpose of DMSS2008 is to bring together researchers from statistical
science and machine learning and have extensive discussions on diverse
aspects of statistical data mining. We solicit papers addressing
theoretical and methodological aspects of machine learning, statistical
science, and their relevant fields, which contribute to understanding
and development of data mining.
