皆様 (重複してお受け取りの方はご容赦ください) 2009年7月に京都で開催しますDMSS2009の締め切りまで1ヶ月をきりましたので, 再度,投稿募集のお知らせをアナウンスさせていただきます.今年は,LLLL2009 (Workshop on Learning with Logics and Logics for Learning)と連続開催にな ります.皆様からの積極的な投稿をお待ちしております. 大阪大学 猪口 明博 ----------------------------- The International Workshop on Data-Mining and Statistical Science (DMSS2009) http://sigdmsm.org/dmss2009/ Date: July 7(Tue)-8(Wed), 2009 Location: Kyodai Kaikan Access Map to Kyoudai Kaikan (near Medicine Campus) http://www.kyoto-u.ac.jp/en/access/campus/medicine.htm Access Map to Medicine Campus http://www.kyoto-u.ac.jp/en/access/campus/yoshida_all.htm Aim: Analyzing a wide variety of massive-scale complex data is the central and challenging issue in the data mining community since the network society allows us to access such data in a fast and inexpensive manner. The purpose of DMSS2009 is to bring together researchers from data mining, machine learning and statistical science, and have extensive discussions on diverse aspects of these fields. We solicit papers addressing theoretical and methodological aspects of data mining, machine learning and statistical science, and their relevant fields, which contribute to understanding and development of the techniques in the fields. We newly initiated the workshop series on data mining and statistical mathematics (SIG-DMSM) in 2006 in response to strong requests from researches for more extensive and structured discussions on data mining, machine learning and statistical science. This workshop series aims at creating new paradigms for data mining, machine learning and statistical scie! nce. DMSS is an annual international workshop within the framework of SIG-DMSM. Topics of interest include, but not limited to, the following areas: *Statistical and Bayesian modeling *Data Mining *Machine Learning *Probabilistic and Statistical Reasoning *Data Visualization *Algorithmic Search and Reasoning for Data Mining *Algebraic Approach to Data Mining *Data Base Architecture and Processing for Data Mining *Applications of Data Mining and Statistical Sciences to Real World Tasks, e.g., Bioinformatics and Marketing Submission: DMSS2009 accepts papers written in English only. The papers are distributed in the workshop sites only and not considered to be formal publications. The length should be no less than 4 pages. The paper is free of format, but, if you want, you can use JSAI-SIG LaTeX style (To process this file, Japanese pLaTeX is required). * We only accept the PDF format (The file size must not exceed 2MB, and all the fonts must be embedded). * In your submission mail, please include the following information in English: -Title of your paper, -A list of all authors and their affiliations ?(please add "*" mark to the presenter), -Name, Telephone number, and E-mail address of the corresponding author. *Article should be submitted to dmss2009 [AT mark] sigdmsm.org. Submission deadline is June 8, 2009. Registration fee: Free (Banquet fee will be announced later.) Important dates: June 8, 2009 Paper submission deadline June 19, 2009 Notification of acceptance/rejection July 7-8, 2009 Workshop Committee members: - Workshop Co-chairs Akihiro Inokuchi (Osaka University) and Masashi Sugiyama (Tokyo Institute of Technology) - Program committee Tomoyuki Higuchi (The Institute of Statistical Mathematics) Takashi Washio (Osaka University) Akihiro Inokuchi (Osaka University) Toshihiro Kamishima (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) Hiroyuki Minami (Hokkaido University) Masashi Sugiyama (Tokyo Institute of Technology)
