　SIITは，ICT技術者，標準化担当者のみならず社会経済学・経営学の研究者，
政策担当者，MOT担当者や標準化教育者，標準化課程学生が一堂に会して，
ICT分野におけるイノベーションと標準化の理論・メカニズム，標準化の経済理論，
ライセンシング，IPR，標準化戦略，標準化教育などについてIT技術，社会・経済
学，教育学等の多角的な視点から議論する目的で1999年に設立されました．これ
まで， ITU，IECなどの国際標準化機関や欧州委員会，IEEE等のサポートのも
と，隔年に計5回開催されています（第1回アーヘン大学（ドイツ），第2回コロ
ラド大学（米国），第3回デルフト大学（オランダ），第4回ITU-T（スイス・
ジュネーブ），第5回カルガリー大学（カナダ））．
　第6回目となるSIIT2009では，工学院大学（東京）において国際標準化の理
論，法的側面，プロセス，ケーススタディなどを議題とした基調講演，一般講
演，パネル討論を予定しております．関係各位の皆様方からの多数のご参加をお
待ちしております．
