NTCIR-9の評価タスクへの参加募集をお送りします。ぜひ、ご参加ください！

NTCIRは、情報検索、質問応答などの情報アクセス技術の研究を
促進することを目的とした評価ワークショップ・シリーズです。
特に、多言語情報アクセスや新しい情報アクセス技術の課題に力
点を置いてきました。

約18カ月を1ラウンドとして、いくつかの研究部門(タスク）を選
定し、実験計画を定義し、参加チームを募り、共通のデータセッ
トを用いて各チームで研究と実験を遂行し、結果を比較評価して、
互いの成果から学び会う場です。

NTCIR-9から、情報通信研究機構(NICT)とNIIの共催として運営基
盤の強化を図ります。また、新たなEvaluation Chairsの下で
研究部門(タスク）を一新しました！

Web検索では、多様な検索意図をカバーできるかや1クリックでSERPに
どれだけ満足のいく情報を集められるか、対話的視覚化情報アクセス、
音声文書検索、Textual EntailmentとQA応用、時間空間サーチ、
Wikipediaの多言語リンク発見、日英中の特許翻訳、といった新たな
研究課題に取り組みます。

評価結果は来年8月末に返却予定、成果報告会は来年2011年12月6-9日
です。奇数回のNTCIRは日本の大学暦とも相性がよいといわれています！

NTCIR is a series of evaluation workshops for
fostering research in information access
technologies, with a special focus on handling
multiple languages and novel information access
tasks. Each round of NTCIR takes approximately 18 months, and the new 
tasks for the ninth
round of NTCIR are about to begin.

We welcome your participation in these tasks.
The concluding meeting of NTCIR-9 will take place at National Institute 
of Informatics (NII), Tokyo in December 2011.
