================================================================

The 30th edition of the International Symposium on Graph Drawing and Network Visualization (GD 2022) will take place at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, on September 13-16, 2022, with a reception on the evening of September 13. A pre-conference PhD school is planned for September 12-13, 2022.

In-person participation to the conference is strongly encouraged, especially for speakers. However, remote participation will be offered for speakers and attendees.

The conference will also feature a Poster session and a Graph Drawing Contest<https://graphdrawing.github.io/gd2022/pages/contest/>, and keynote talks from distinguished invited speakers:

- Ulrik Brandes, ETH Zurich, Switzerland
- Kazuo Misue, University of Tsukuba, Japan

VISA REQUIREMENTS
----------------

Due to the immigration policy of the Japanese government, every foreign participant is required to acquire a visa, by submitting the following material to the participants' local Japanese Embassy:
1. Certificate of ERFS registration, issued by the GD organizer (see below)
2. Valid passport and photo
3. Visa application form to enter Japan (https://www.mofa.go.jp/mofaj/files/000124525.pdf)
4. Extra documents, only for participants from specific countries.

To issue the ERFS certificate (item 1), the organizer requires all onsite participants from foreign countries to submit this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfRBYN5PNx5T5kEdmpuvgnz_Wnq6eG9zvx_Gr8UDMGifjRudw/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please fill this form at your earliest convenience, possibly not later than August 15, as it requires manual processing from the organizers. The organizer will promptly provide the certificate of ERFS registration as a PDF file, together with some additional information to fill the "Guarantor" fields in the visa application form (item 3).

The extra documents (item 4) should not be needed for countries in EU/UK/US/Australia, but please verify this information with your local Japanese Embassy.
